Premium investments: natural granite and technological revolution with GECO 300 PRO

The hydraulic vacuum lifter GECO 300 PRO redefines precision and profitability in granite slab installation for top-tier residential and commercial projects

🏛️ Premium granite ⚙️ GECO 300 PRO – hydraulic 👤 1 operator 🏗️ Excavator / mini-excavator

Why does premium granite require vacuum technology?

Traditional methods of installing large-format granite slabs carry risks that premium projects simply cannot afford

💎

Edge protection

The suction cup grips only the face of the slab. No metal clamps or straps means no chipped edges – the leading cause of costly claims on premium construction sites.

📐

Perfect joints

No straps beneath the material allows slabs to be pushed flush against each other. The millimetre-tight joints demanded in luxury projects become achievable without extra effort.

🛡️

Zero cracking risk

Large-format granite slabs are vulnerable to sudden contact with metal tools. Vacuum technology transfers weight without any pressure points on the stone structure.

50% faster installation

Using UP GECO equipment cuts installation time by up to half compared to traditional methods. More square metres per day with the same workforce.

GECO 300 PRO – the technological foundation of your investment

100% hydraulically powered – no generator, no cables, no compromises

⚙️

Purely hydraulic drive

GECO 300 PRO draws power exclusively from the carrier machine's hydraulic circuit. On any site with access to an excavator or mini-excavator, the device is ready to work immediately – no generator, cables or external power supply needed.

🔄

Interchangeable suction pads

The device handles both smooth, polished granite slabs and materials with a flamed or bush-hammered surface. Changing suction pads takes minutes and requires no specialist tools.

🌧️

Works in any conditions

The hydraulic drive provides full independence from weather conditions. Rain, moisture or the absence of a power grid in the early stages of construction never halts installation work.

🏅

EN 13155 certified

GECO 300 PRO meets the requirements of European standard EN 13155 for non-permanently attached lifting devices. The documentation required for technical handovers and health & safety audits on premium sites.

How does granite slab installation with GECO 300 PRO work?

Three steps from slab on pallet to perfectly laid surface

1

Attach the lifter and check the gauge

The operator mounts GECO 300 PRO on the excavator's quick-coupler and connects two hydraulic hoses. The lifter is applied to the slab and the manometer reading is checked – the vacuum value is read and compared with the load table on the suction pad.

2

Grip and transport

Once the gauge shows a reading in the green zone, the operator lifts the slab and moves it with the machine arm to the target location. One operator in the cab controls the entire process from a safe seated position.

3

Precise placement and vacuum release

The slab is pushed flush with neighbouring elements to millimetre accuracy – with no straps underneath. Once the slab rests stably on the surface, the operator releases the vacuum. The lifter separates without touching the edges.

Economics and return on investment

Advanced equipment is not a cost – it is budget optimisation on every contract

👤1

One operator instead of a crew

A single excavator operator is all it takes to lay even the heaviest granite elements. Reduced labour costs directly improve the contract margin.

⏱️50%

Faster installation

GECO 300 PRO cuts installation time by up to half compared to traditional methods. More contracts completed in the same working time.

🏗️0

No crane hire

Crane hire costs hundreds of euros per hour plus transport fees. GECO 300 PRO fitted to your own excavator works without any additional charges.

🦺H&S

Fewer injuries, fewer stoppages

Eliminating manual lifting removes the risk of back injuries among workers – the leading cause of sick leave on construction sites.

Key safety rules

Follow these rules to maintain full safety and lifter effectiveness

1

Clean and dry surface

Granite with a wet, dusty or oily surface significantly weakens suction force. Before using the lifter, clean and dry the suction pad contact zone on the slab.

2

Read the gauge before lifting

Always check the current manometer reading and compare it with the load table printed on the suction pad. This is the only reliable method for verifying safe load in real working conditions.

3

Slab condition

Do not lift slabs with visible cracks or chipped edges. Even perfect vacuum grip cannot compensate for the weakened structure of a damaged element.

4

Machine hydraulic parameters

Ensure the excavator or mini-excavator provides a minimum flow of 20 L/min and a working pressure of 150 bar. Insufficient hydraulic parameters reduce lifter effectiveness and working safety.

⚠️
No one under a suspended slab

During transport and laying, no person may stand under a raised granite slab. Before releasing the vacuum, ensure the element rests stably on the target surface.

💡
How to verify the permissible load?

Every suction pad on a GECO lifter has a printed load table as a function of achieved vacuum. Read the current value from the manometer and compare it with the table – the only reliable method for verifying safe load in real site conditions.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to questions about GECO 300 PRO for premium granite installation

Is GECO 300 PRO suitable for granite slabs with a flamed or bush-hammered surface?
Yes – GECO 300 PRO is fitted with interchangeable suction pads adapted to different surface textures. Polished, flamed and bush-hammered granite with a clean, dry contact zone achieves excellent vacuum values. Changing the suction pads requires no specialist tools and takes just a few minutes.
How many people are needed to operate GECO 300 PRO when laying granite?
GECO 300 PRO is a hydraulic device mounted on the excavator arm, so a single operator controlling the machine from the cab is all that is required. The operator independently grips, transports and precisely places granite slabs without leaving their seat.
Does GECO 300 PRO require a generator or external power supply?
No – GECO 300 PRO is powered exclusively by the carrier machine's hydraulic circuit. No generator, power cables or grid connection is needed. All that is required is an excavator or mini-excavator with a hydraulic system providing at least 20 L/min flow and 150 bar working pressure.
How do I check that the granite is safely gripped before lifting?
After applying the lifter to the slab, the operator reads the current vacuum value from the manometer and compares it with the load table printed on the suction pad. The table shows the permissible load for a given vacuum level under specific working conditions. This check is always performed before every lift.
Will GECO 300 PRO fit my excavator or mini-excavator?
GECO 300 PRO is mounted on a standard quick-coupler and is compatible with most excavators and mini-excavators equipped with a hydraulic system providing at least 20 L/min flow and 150 bar working pressure (maximum 200 bar). If you are unsure about compatibility with a specific machine, our team will confirm the parameters before purchase.
