Step-by-step guide – how to lift slabs with a vacuum lifter
Choose the model for your slab weight
Up to 200 kg → GECO Vacu-200. From 200 to 300 kg or porous slabs → GECO Vacu-300 (1850 W turbine). For excavator use → GECO Pro-300.
Clean the contact surface
The surface must be dry, free of sand and debris. Wipe the contact point before lifting.
Place the suction pad centrally
The suction pad should cover as much of the slab surface as possible – larger contact area means stronger grip.
Start and wait for the green signal
Green indicator = vacuum achieved, safe to lift. Never lift when the indicator is red.
Move and release with one button
GECO maintains suction at up to 30° tilt. Once in position – one button releases the slab precisely at the target location.

How many kg can the GECO vacuum lifter handle?
GECO Vacu-200 lifts up to 200 kg, GECO Vacu-300 up to 300 kg (1850 W turbine), and GECO Vacu Pro-300 handles elements over 300 kg on a hydraulic excavator arm.
Does a vacuum lifter work on wet paving slabs?
We do not recommend use on wet or icy surfaces – suction is reduced and unpredictable. Always dry the contact area before lifting.
Does GECO work on textured or split-face slabs?
Yes – for irregular surfaces we use special suction pads with flexible seals. Ask us for a recommendation for your specific material.
Can the vacuum lifter be mounted on an excavator?
Yes – the GECO Vacu Pro-300 is designed specifically for mounting on excavator and loader arms. Compatible with JCB, CAT, Komatsu and other brands.
What are the running costs of a vacuum lifter?
The only costs are electricity (230V, standard socket) and occasional replacement of suction pad seals. Original spare parts are available in our shop.
