Stone Slab Installation Without a Crane

Stone Slab Installation Without a Crane Stone Slab Installation Without a Crane – GECO 300 PRO Hydraulic Vacuum Lifter | UP GECO

Stone Slab Installation Without a Crane

Install heavy granite, basalt and natural stone slabs using only an excavator – no expensive crane rental needed

🔧 GECO 300 PRO – hydraulic 🏗️ Excavator installation 💰 No crane rental

The excavator replaces the crane

Mounted on an excavator arm, GECO 300 PRO turns any standard excavator into a precision stone-laying machine

🏗️

No crane needed

An excavator is on every construction site. GECO 300 PRO turns it into a precise stone slab installation device – no additional equipment required.

💰

Lower costs

Crane rental costs hundreds per hour. GECO 300 PRO pays for itself after a few jobs and works as long as your excavator does.

🎯

Precision laying

An experienced excavator operator guides the arm millimetre by millimetre. The slab lands exactly where it needs to – no accidental impacts or chipping.

One machine

The excavator prepares the base, levels and lays the stone – without downtime waiting for a crane. Work flows in one continuous rhythm.

How does crane-free installation work?

Three steps from connection to finished installation

1

Attach GECO 300 PRO

Mount the lifter on the excavator's quick coupler and connect the hydraulic hoses to the machine's system. The whole process takes a few minutes.

2

Grip the slab

Apply the lifter to the stone slab. The excavator's hydraulic pump powers the vacuum system – no separate power supply needed. Check the green zone on the pressure gauge.

3

Place and release

The excavator operator precisely guides the arm and places the slab in its final position. Once stable, the vacuum is released and the process moves to the next slab.

💡
Key advantage: the excavator goes where a crane cannot

On narrow driveways, uneven terrain, near fences or under canopies – an excavator with GECO 300 PRO has a far smaller working radius and does not need the large manoeuvring space required by a mobile crane.

Where to use GECO 300 PRO without a crane?

Any project involving heavy natural stone is a potential application

🏠

Driveways & terraces

Laying thick granite or basalt slabs on driveways and terraces – residential and commercial.

🏛️

Stone facades

Installing natural stone cladding panels on buildings – without crane scaffolding.

🛣️

Paving & kerbs

Laying stone paving, granite kerbs and street furniture elements in urban spaces.

Decorative elements

Monuments, stone steps, retaining walls and other heavy stone elements requiring precise placement.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to questions about crane-free stone slab installation with GECO 300 PRO

Which excavators are compatible with GECO 300 PRO?
GECO 300 PRO mounts on a standard quick coupler and fits most excavators and mini-excavators equipped with a hydraulic system providing min. 20 L/min flow and 150 bar working pressure. We recommend checking your machine's hydraulic specifications before purchasing.
What types of stone can be laid with GECO 300 PRO?
Granite, basalt, sandstone, marble, limestone, slate and other natural stones with a smooth or semi-smooth surface. The stone must be dry and clean – any smooth, impermeable surface provides excellent sealing and high vacuum levels.
How long does it take to fit GECO 300 PRO to an excavator?
With a standard quick coupler, fitting takes a few minutes: attach the lifter and connect two hydraulic hoses. It can be removed and refitted multiple times during a working day if the excavator also needs to perform other earthworks.
Does GECO 300 PRO work on slopes or uneven ground?
Yes – this is one of the main advantages over a mobile crane. The excavator can drive onto slopes, narrow access routes or unpaved ground where a crane cannot manoeuvre. GECO 300 PRO works in any position of the excavator arm.
Does GECO 300 PRO require a separate electrical power supply?
No. GECO 300 PRO is entirely powered by the excavator's hydraulics – no batteries or electrical cables required. The only connections are two hydraulic hoses to the machine's system. This is a major practical advantage when working in locations without access to mains power.
