How does SwiftLevel 112 cm work?
Three functions in one tool – no working through two or three separate rounds
Toothed edge – scraping and cleaning
First pass. The teeth effectively break up clods, pulling stones, roots and debris to the surface. The substrate is pre-sieved and ready for smoothing – without a separate raking step.
Smooth edge – precise levelling
Flip the board and achieve a perfectly flat surface. The smooth edge eliminates even the smallest irregularities, creating an even layer ready for seeding or laying turf rolls.
Stabilising roller – smooth guidance and compaction
The full-width roller eliminates jerking and keeps the board in constant contact with the substrate. Its ~10 kg mass acts as a mini-roller – gently compacting the ground and stabilising loose soil before seeding or topdressing.
Step by step: levelling ground for a lawn
From raw terrain to a prepared substrate for seeding or turf laying
Initial tilling
Till the area with a rotavator or by hand. Remove the largest weeds and stones. The looser the soil, the better the board performs.
Spreading soil
Spread quality topsoil or compost over the target area – no precise levelling needed yet.
Toothed-side pass
Use the toothed side of the board, pulling it towards you at a slight angle. Collect the filtered stones and clods.
Final smoothing
Flip to the smooth side. Move back and forth to level the ground perfectly across the entire surface.
Seeding or turf laying
Substrate ready. Sow seeds or lay turf. SwiftLevel is also useful later for lawn topdressing.
The board is perfect for autumn topdressing of an existing lawn. The smooth side evenly works sand into aerated turf, sealing aeration holes and levelling minor surface imperfections without risk of damaging the grass.
