⚽ Sports courts

🌿 Lawns and gardens
Level ground for seeding, laying turf rolls or preparing beds. The board removes minor humps, hollows and clumps.
🏖️ Lawn top-dressing
Top-dressing: work sand between grass blades to improve drainage, level the surface and help the lawn recover and thicken.
🪨 Gravel and bark
Spread garden gravel, bark, wood chips and mulch evenly on paths and under playground equipment.
🐎 Equestrian arenas
Level the surface of riding arenas, paddocks and equestrian courts filled with sand or mineral mix.
🏡 Plots and yards
Level ground for terraces, gazebos, play areas and driveways. Any loose-surface application.
How to level ground with the SwiftLevel – step by step
Choose your model and assess the area
For small gardens, narrow courts and tight spaces, choose the 73 cm model (~7 kg). For large volleyball courts, extensive lawns and open yards, the 112 cm model (~10 kg) covers more ground per pass.
Spread loose material
Pour sand, topsoil, peat mix or other loose material onto the surface. Roughly rake it out – the board will level the rest.
First pass – serrated side
Set the board serrated side down. Drag it across the surface to break up clumps and lift stones. The guide roller keeps the tool stable and lightly compacts the base.
Second pass – smooth side
Flip the board smooth side down. Make parallel passes, then perpendicular passes. The result is a perfectly flat, ready-to-use surface.
Check the level
Lay a spirit level or long straightedge on the surface. Repeat the pass in any areas that need it.
Lawn top-dressing
Scatter a thin layer of silica sand (1–3 mm) across the lawn and drag the board smooth side down to work it in. The sand fills ruts, improves drainage and levels the turf surface.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is the SwiftLevel suitable for levelling beach volleyball courts?
Yes – this is one of its primary uses. The 112 cm model quickly levels sandy court surfaces after matches or between seasons. The guide roller provides smooth movement and the board's weight (~10 kg) gently compacts the sand.
What is lawn top-dressing and how does the board help?
Top-dressing means applying a thin layer of sand to an existing lawn. The SwiftLevel works the sand down between grass blades, corrects minor hollows and improves soil drainage. The result: a flat, healthy lawn with better soil structure.
How do I level an uneven garden before seeding?
Spread a layer of topsoil or sand over the uneven ground. Use the serrated side to break up clumps and remove stones. Then use the smooth side to create a flat seedbed ready for sowing or laying turf rolls.
Which model should I choose for a large court – 73 cm or 112 cm?
For courts (volleyball, tennis, badminton) we strongly recommend the 112 cm model – wider coverage means fewer passes and shorter working time. The 73 cm model suits smaller garden plots and confined spaces.
What sand layer depth works best with the board?
The SwiftLevel works best with 2–5 cm layers. For deeper irregularities (more than 8 cm), pre-level with a spade and work in stages, layer by layer.
Can I use it to spread gravel or wood chips?
Yes. SwiftLevel works well for spreading garden gravel, sawdust and bark on paths and under play equipment. The serrated side breaks up unevenness; the smooth side creates the final surface.
What is the SwiftLevel made of?
The board is made of S355 steel, 5 mm thick, with a powder-coat finish for corrosion resistance. The handle is beech wood (Ø28 mm, 145 cm long for the 73 cm model). Both models carry a 1-year manufacturer's warranty.
